It’s been such a wonderful, crazy week, with barely enough time to get anything done or started. I can’t believe it’s almost the weekend again!
In the short time I’ve been able to work on SL things (haha … work?) I am starting again to re-learn Poser. My new machine doesn’t glitch the SL avatars like my old one did. For some reason the NVidia GTX 7950 card wouldn’t allow me to work with the SL av templates without crashing, but yet my previous card, the GTX 7900, worked just fine with it. The people at Poser (e-frontier/smithmicro) couldn’t seem to figure it out, never put out a patch, so I’ve never had a chance to use it until now. It’s been fun, but a lot more work than putting a quickie together in QAnimivator. I am hopeful, though, after passing the L-curve, it will be worth it.
These two shown below were designed by Craig Altman at Bits & Bobs and, I think, are still two of the very best romantic animations in SL. (Doc thinks so, too.) Even with all the mocap competition now, Mr. Altman has such a wonderful eye for the sweet little romantic nuances. (That kiss is just out of this world when you get all the adjustments made.) Altman is one of my favorite animators bar-none. I am also really starting to get into the poses at Sin Toshi’s V-Motional, too. She also has that “eye” for the details.
These are called “Eternal” (a dance anim) and “Soul Intentions” (a romantic sequence anim) I am a such an animation junkie. One of the main reasons I *have* to start making my own. I’ll go broke otherwise. *grin*
and then … snowman redux no. three is driving me nuts …
lol … I have used this same snowman I built for my studio in NB (eons ago, it seems) for three years and thought I’d get him out earlier this year to ponder how I can lower the primmage from 30 to 10 … Man, I just love this boy, but he has too many prims to be used in multiples around the sim.
Fatima will have some ideas. She just made her new (OMG … friggin’ fabulous!) Victorian Christmas tree with a rezzer that took it from 200-something to 1. lol … I need that thing! I don’t know for sure if Fatima has her tree out yet and I didn’t want to spoil the surprize since mine was a sneak peek. As soon as I know, I’ll show it off here. It’s def going to be one of my fave trees this year. Never too early to think about these things you know …. just like FL … ;=) Falalaalalalalaaaaaaa … holllydayyyyzzz!
